Dr. Amos M. Anderson is the longest continuously practicing urologist in the Middle Georgia region, and has spent the last 28 years faithfully serving the patients of Urology Specialists of Georgia. In 1981, Dr. Anderson began practicing urology, and at the same time, became a member of the Bibb County Medical Society. He joined Urology Specialists in 1984 shortly after it was founded by Dr. Deitz Carpenter Jr.

Dr. Anderson has long been part of the Middle Georgia community. He graduated from Stratford High School where he was well-known for his basketball skills. After high school, Dr. Anderson studied pre-med at the University of Georgia and graduated from Emory University’s School of Medicine in 1976. He completed his General Surgery Internship and his Urology Residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.

In addition to over 30 years of experience in practicing medicine, Dr. Anderson is also a past Associate Professor of Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine and was President of the Bibb County Medical Society in 2008. In 2011, he served as President of the Georgia Urological Society, a group of private and academic urologists organized to continuously improve urological care in the state.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Macon and enjoys playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He and his wife of 37 years have 2 children, both in the medical field.
