Dr. Burnette joined Urology Specialists of Georgia in August 2013. Prior to a career in medicine, Dr Burnette enlisted in the United States Army and served as an anti-armor infantryman at Fort Hood, TX as well as Camp Casey, South Korea. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military, he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology (magna cum laude) at Augusta State University. He subsequently enrolled in the combined MD/PhD program at the Medical College of Georgia. He has published numerous papers and co-authored book chapters in addition to presentations at local, state and national meetings.

Dr. Burnette is a Georgia native and enjoys spending time with his wife, Jean, and two sons. He enjoys playing golf as well as cooking in his free time.
