Header imageOn Saturday, May 2, Central Georgia Autism presents the 3rd annual Journey Century Ride to benefit Central Georgia Autism’s Scholarship Program. The bike ride will begin at Sandy Beach Park on Lake Tobesofkee at 8:00 a.m., and features a variety of distances including 18 miles, 33 miles, 66 miles, or 100 miles. Urology Specialists is honored to support this event as a sponsor and we are proud to cheer on our physicians who are participating in the ride!

The scholarship program awards up to $500 per child with an autism diagnosis to receive the desired medical necessities the parent request through our application process and final approval through our Board of Directors. In the last three years, Central Georgia Autism has awarded over $44,000 in scholarships to children affected by Autism in Central Georgia. Did you know that a child is diagnosed with Autism every 11 minutes? Georgia is one of 13 states without Mandated Insurance Coverage for Autism.

The Journey Century Ride event at Sandy Beach Park will host vendors, food, music, and a Children’s Bike Ride specifically designed for Autistic children and their families. Festivities will last throughout the day until the last rider finishes his or her ride. It will most certainly be a fun way to spend your Saturday at beautiful Lake Tobesofkee.
